Best moments for indians: world cup quarter final against AUS

Suresh Raina Removed the Pressure

Suresh Raina says that whenever he gets the chance, he knows that he will do well. Adds that this was the time to show that and thanks coach Gary Kirsten for giving him this opportunity. Credits Tendulkar for calming him down in the dressing room when there was panic in the middle. About his partnership with Yuvraj, he says that the former just told him to take the singles and not do anything big. Also praises the bowlers and the fielders. Hopes to do well in the semis in front of what he expects would be a mammoth crowd.

And Yuvraj punches the air in delight in celebration. Sadly, it is the end of the road for Australia. Ponting is glum-faced and has to give up the crown that he has so preciously treasured for two World Cups in a row. The Australians batted well to reach 260 but India batted better. Australia had a centurion in Ponting but India had good partnerships. Not a great day for the bowlers in terms of wickets but while India were economical, Australia were not quite up to the mark.

Australian skipper Ricky Thomas Ponting says that his team competed and thought that they were in with a chance at the innings break but probably did not bowl well and Yuvraj and Raina took the game away. Admits that they were not able to keep the pair from taking their singles. Is disappointed with the result but says that his team are much better than what they showed in this tournament and credits India for their victory and wishes them good luck going further in this tournament.
